Ushujaa Africa World title
abc Africa world title
The Ushujaa Africa World belt, the result of a powerful alliance between the WBC and the Carlos Takam Foundation, is far more than just a trophy: it is a vibrant symbol of African identity, pride, and ambition. This unique belt honors the heritage and courage of the continent while embodying a bright future where African youth choose to excel and shine at home, on their own soil.
Ushujaa, which means “bravery” in Swahili, is more than just a name: it is a call to all young talents to strive for this ultimate recognition, proudly “made in Africa.” The belt becomes a source of inspiration, encouraging the new generation to build their legend on the continent, prioritize local excellence, and make Africa the beating heart of global sport.
With the Ushujaa belt, defending one’s title in Africa becomes both a matter of pride and a powerful commitment: to show the world that the pinnacle of sport can be achieved here, in the birthplace of today’s and tomorrow’s heroes.
For the very first time in its history, this prestigious world title was contested in the cruiserweight category in Ghana, in Accra, at the Bukom Boxing Arena, during an unforgettable night in 2025.
